Learning your natural........Hair!
When becoming natural, it's very important that you know what your hair likes, needs and wants. Learn your texture and what products and regimen works for your hair. We will talk more about product and regimen on a later day but let's focus on learning your texture. Lets talk types of natural hair, type 2 hair is wavy, type 3 hair is curly and type 4 hair is coily. Can you have a blend? You sure can, let's use my hair for example; my hair is type 3c but in some parts of my hair I have type 4a. So guess what? I have to treat my hair for two types of hair. My hair is very curly, my curls are normally in a pencil or straw curl. My curls are very tight and soft. When my hair gets dry, it gets tangled and makes it hard to work with. What works for someone else's hair may not work for your hair, this is why its very important to learn what works best for your hair. My hair loves water and products that moisture my hair. I don't have to use a lot of oils on my hair but what works best for my hair is when I add my oils to my product. My hair is in love with creams and butters, my hair type is very fragile so I finger tangle my hair a lot, and I use a lot of conditioner!!!!! My hair will frizz very easy, so I have to use gels and anti-frizz serum. When you find your natural hair type, research all you can to find out what your hair loves and what your hair dislikes. What's your natural hair type? Look at the chart below.
